Cookie Policy
How this website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
1. About cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in comparable ways. They are used to make websites function, to remember your preferences, and — where you agree — to help site owners understand how a site is used.
2. Our consent-first approach
By default this website sets only strictly necessary storage. We do not set advertising or other non-essential cookies unless and until you give consent through our cookie notice. This reflects the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, under which non-essential cookies require your prior consent. You can accept all cookies or reject non-essential cookies; both choices are presented with equal prominence, and you can change your choice at any time (see “Managing your choices” below).
We use Google’s Consent Mode (version 2). Google’s tag is present on the site so that, if you consent, advertising measurement works correctly; however, until you grant consent it operates in a restricted, cookieless state and does not store advertising cookies or identifiers on your device. If you reject non-essential cookies, it remains in that restricted state.
3. Cookies and storage we use
Strictly necessary (no consent required):
- Consent preference — when you respond to the cookie notice, we store your choice in your browser’s local storage (key:
bv-consent) so the notice does not reappear on every visit and so your preference is respected. It records only your consent choice and is not used to track you.
Google Ads conversion measurement (optional — only with your consent):
- Google Ads (gtag.js, ID
AW-18209328071) — used to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns, for example whether an enquiry followed an advert. Advertising cookies and identifiers are set only if you accept; if you reject non-essential cookies they are not set, and the tag remains in Google’s restricted, cookieless Consent Mode state. Any data collected on consent is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy. We do not use Google Analytics (GA4) or any general website-analytics product on this site.
4. Third-party resources
To display correctly, the site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. This may involve a request to a Google server, which receives your IP address in order to serve the fonts; Google’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy. Other than the Google Ads conversion measurement described above, we do not embed analytics, social-media tracking or similar technologies.
5. Managing your choices
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser, which will cause the cookie notice to appear again. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the “Help” function of your browser explains how. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect how the site remembers your preferences.
6. Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites, and load Google Ads conversion measurement only in accordance with your consent preferences, our approach is consistent with browser “Do Not Track” preferences.
7. Changes
We will update this page if our use of cookies changes. The review date is shown above.
